This stereo is built for streaming instead of physical media. At a campsite with internet, you can pair your devices and stream your favorite playlists. When you end up off-grid in the boonies, you can still plug in a USB drive loaded with music or use Bluetooth to play songs you have saved on your phone. Plus, the HDMI connection makes it easy to run TV audio through the stereo so everyone can hear it for movie night. It also includes AM/FM when you want to tune into local stations.
Since this has three separate speaker zones (A, B, and C), you don't have to turn up every speaker in the RV just to hear your music. Zones A and B cover the inside of the RV, while Zone C runs the outdoor speakers. Each zone has its own volume and mute control, so the sound fits whatever you're doing at the campsite. You can keep the inside quiet when someone goes to bed while the music continues to play outside. If the kids are resting in the bunks, just turn the sound down there and keep watching TV in the living room without disturbing them. And everything can be adjusted right from the included remote, so you don't have to reach for the stereo every time you want to manage the audio.
With dual Bluetooth capability, you can connect two devices at the same time. The two zones inside the RV can run from one device, while the outside zone can play from another. This setup lets you listen to your songs indoors while someone else plays their music by the fire. No one has to give up their connection for the other, and as a bonus, it might even stop a few arguments over who controls the playlist.
The HDMI ARC connection lets you run TV sound through your stereo. Instead of cranking up the TV speakers to hear what you're watching, the audio fills your RV through the connected zones. And with CEC support, you can use your TV's remote to control the volume instead of juggling two different remotes.
The shallow 1-5/16" mounting depth allows the stereo to fit in tight cabinets without running into wiring or framing behind the wall. The stereo requires a cutout that's 9-5/16" wide x 6-1/8" tall, and you'll want to avoid mounting it near heaters or other areas with poor ventilation. Once the opening is ready, the included harness connects the unit to power, ground, and the speakers you have in your RV. I finally had my stereo installed and it works as advertised.It took me a little time to figure out how to get the quality of sound I am looking for. I still have to replace a couple of speakers and of course this will improve it even more.
Arrived as described and easy to install per instructions. I needed a radio that would fit the existing cabinetry. I also needed it to be easy to wire with my existing wiring. The product met both needs with Ashley’s help with the description.
This Jensen RV Stereo was exactly what I needed for my camper! The "Double DIN (height) was a perfect fit for my available cabinet space. I found that (using the correct USB-C to HDMI adapter cable (not included)) I am able to stream movies from my Samsung phone through the stereo's front HDMI connection to my TV (which is connected to the stereo using the HDMI connector in the back of the stereo. A complete manual is not typically included with Jensen stereos but can be located and downloaded with a quick online search.
